TECHNICAL TOURS
On Saturday, 9 September 2023 we will be offering 3 different excursions of one day, to see
beekeeping activities and the landscapes of the central region of Chile, with a lunch to enjoy typical
Chilean gastronomy.
You will be able to choose between the rural area of the Metropolitan Region, the Region of Valparaíso
between Santiago and the Pacific coast, and the Region Bernardo O’Higgins, south of Santiago. In these
excursions you will be able to meet individual beekeepers and beekeeping associations who work in
honey and pollen production for export and visit their facilities, queen bee breeding, pollination
services, providers of inputs and machinery and research projects related to apiculture.
Each excursion will have limited capacity and its cost will be published in the web site of the Congress
shortly.
API-TOURISM
The National Organizing Committee of APIMONDIA CHILE 2023 wishes that the participants’ stay in
Chile include the possibility of getting to know our country, with all its diversity. For this, we are
preparing offers for Api-Tourism to the north, the center and the south of the country, to show not only
the wonderful landscapes and tourist attractions, but also how bees and beekeeping evolves in the
driest desert in the world, in the fertile valleys of the central regional, in the temperate rain forests and
mountains of the south and for the more adventurous, in the island of Rapa Nui (Easter Island), an oasis
free from bee diseases.
More information on these special offers will be published soon on the Congress web site.
